Cellular Automata for Reaction Diffusion Systems

چکیده

A class of cellular automata for reaction-diiusion systems is presented. It is based on a local average for the diiusive dynamics, and closely related to nite diierence schemes. The reactive dynamics is implemented as a lookup-table with probabilistic rules. The rules are derived directly and systematically from the given diierential equations, using probabilistic rounding to enforce the discretization of the concentration variables. For quantitatively correct modeling, such probabilistic rules are usually necessary, but in some cases a deterministic version proves suucient.

Cellular Automata Simulation of a Bistable Reaction-Diffusion System: Microscopic and Macroscopic Approaches

The Cellular Automata method has been used to simulate the pattern formation of the Schlögl model as a bistable Reaction-Diffusion System. Both microscopic and macroscopic Cellular Automata approaches have been considered and two different methods for obtaining the probabilities in the microscopic approach have been mentioned. The results show the tendency of the system towards the more sta...

Pattern Formation of the FitzHugh-Nagumo Model: Cellular Automata Approach

FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) model is a famous Reaction-Diffusion System which first introduced for the conduction of electrical impulses along a nerve fiber. This model is also considered as an abstract model for pattern formation. Here, we have used the Cellular Automata method to simulate the pattern formation of the FHN model. It is shown that the pattern of this model is very similar to those...

Probabilistic cellular automata model for reaction diffusion systems

Class of cellular automata (CA) for modeling reaction diffusion systems has been presented. The construction of the CA is general enough to be applicable to large class of reaction diffusion equation s. Tne automata are based on running average procedure and on probabilistic table look up to implement diffusion reactions. The evolution of probabilistic CA simulates a spatially distributed proce...

Fast Cellular Automata Implementation on Graphic Processor Unit (GPU) for Salt and Pepper Noise Removal

Noise removal operation is commonly applied as pre-processing step before subsequent image processing tasks due to the occurrence of noise during acquisition or transmission process. A common problem in imaging systems by using CMOS or CCD sensors is appearance of  the salt and pepper noise. This paper presents Cellular Automata (CA) framework for noise removal of distorted image by the salt an...

Edge Detection Based On Nearest Neighbor Linear Cellular Automata Rules and Fuzzy Rule Based System

Edge Detection is an important task for sharpening the boundary of images to detect the region of interest. This paper applies a linear cellular automata rules and a Mamdani Fuzzy inference model for edge detection in both monochromatic and the RGB images. In the uniform cellular automata a transition matrix has been developed for edge detection. The Results have been compared to the ...

Three-dimensional Cellular Automata for Reaction-Diffusion Systems

Cellular automata for reaction-diiusion systems are eecient enough to make the simulation of large three-dimensional systems feasible. The principal construction mechanisms used here are not much diierent from those for two-dimensional cellular automata. Diiusion is realized through a local av-erageing, and all the nonlinear reaction terms are collected in a table-lookup. The special issue in t...
